The opportunity Our Government & Public Sector (GPS) Digital Engineering practice is helping organizations solve complex problems through purpose-led transformation. We create innovative digital experiences that help our government clients succeed and thrive. Our practice combines public‑sector mission needs with private‑sector leading practices. We respond to each client’s issues by bringing together highly skilled professionals across Consulting, Assurance, Tax and Strategy and Transactions service lines, providing the flexibility to meet unique requirements. You will join a talented group of professionals advising U.S. government agencies with digital strategy, customer experience, process improvement, technology effectiveness, digital architecture, and program integration. Your Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring the final product meets their needs. • Design and develop user interfaces that are functional and enhance user experience. • Write clean, maintainable code and create specifications that support business objectives. • Participate in the design of software components, translating requirements into technical design and tasks. • Interact and communicate effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives. • Assist with providing estimates on assigned tasks. • Write quality code that is simple, reliable, and scalable. • Analyze and fix moderate to complex problems during development and support; document and communicate results appropriately. • Participate in white‑boarding sessions, impact analysis, and explore methods and tools to improve the overall development process. • Learn new client information quickly, translating data modeling, process modeling, and revision control systems. • Have a strong understanding of agile delivery and development methodologies. • Be proficient in application development tools and quality assurance practices. Skills And Attributes For Success • Experience gathering and analyzing requirements. • Designing and developing user interfaces. • Participating in the design of software components. • Effective interaction and communication with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives. • Ability to independently write quality code. • Capacity to learn new client information quickly and translate data modeling, process modeling, and revision control systems. • Strong understanding of agile delivery and development methodologies. • Proficiency in application development tools and quality assurance practices. To qualify for the role, you must have • Bachelor’s degree. • Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance. • Experience with Microsoft Power Pages (Portals) and Liquid. • Extensive knowledge of C#, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML. • Experience with JavaScript UI frameworks such as React or Angular. • Experience integrating with external systems. • 5+ years of relevant total experience. • Comfortable working in‑person as needed. Ideally, you’ll also have • Expertise in developing written and visual communication products. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Ability to collaborate with clients and identify engagement follow‑on opportunities. We also include medical, dental, pension, and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off. • Our hybrid model expects most external roles to work together in person 40‑60% of the time over the course of an engagement. • Flexible vacation policy: you decide how much vacation time you need based on your circumstances, with additional time for EY Paid Holidays, winter/summer breaks, personal/family care, and other leaves.
